ICI - ITALY CALLS INDIA: A University-Enterprise Talents Bridge
Connecting Indian Talents with the Italian Business Ecosystem
An experimental project promoted by Confindustria, CRUI, and Uni-Italia, with the support of the Embassy of India in Italy and MAECI. Our goal is to profile and value the human capital of Indian students in Italy to facilitate their professional integration into national enterprises.
ARE YOU AN INDIAN STUDENT IN ITALY UNIVERSITIES?
Operational Phases of the Project
- PHASE 1: MAPPING
- PHASE 2: PROFILING
- PHASE 3: MATCHING
- PHASE 4: LANGUAGE AND TUTORING (Optional)
- PHASE 5: POTENTIAL TRAINEESHIP OR APPRENTICESHIP
- Institutional Cooperation: The project starts with the collaboration between CRUI and Confindustria, with Uni-Italia acting as a facilitator, aimed at strengthening the cooperation between university placement offices and Confindustria's territorial associations.
- Data Analysis: An initial mapping will be carried out by cross-referencing available data from ANVUR, MUR, and the Indian Embassy to identify the geographical distribution and fields of study of the students.
- Digital Platform: Development of a dedicated page on the Unimpiego platform, aimed exclusively at Indian students in Italian universities.
- The Smart Form: Students will fill out a simplified form including their course of study, language certifications, and future career goals (e.g., willingness to stay in Italy or return to India to work in Italian branches).
- Dissemination: CRUI and Uni-Italia will handle the outreach, with a focus on specific universities with significant student numbers.
- Strategic Target: Once a critical mass is reached (initial target: at least 100 Master's degree students), CVs will be made available to Confindustria member companies and the Foreign Investors Committee.
- Distribution Channels: Matching will take place through the Unimpiego platform and via direct coordination with university placement offices.
- Skill Support: For profiles of high interest with potential language gaps, University Language Centers (CLA) may intervene.
- Dedicated Tutoring: Tutors will be provided to guide candidates toward companies, ensuring that language barriers do not hinder their professional integration.
- Professional Entry: Companies will review profiles and evaluate offering internship programs or apprenticeship contracts.
- First Output: Ready CVs for english speaking students will be prioritized for companies within Confindustria's Foreign Investors Committee.
